Enjoy these healthy and delicious recipes that are kid (and Mom) approved for those busy school mornings when you just don’t have time and don’t want to feed the kids cereal!!

Creamy Chocolate Avocado Smoothie from Against All Grain

My kids don’t know there are avocado in these smoothies, but they love them!  I omit the added honey/dates and I think they are sweet enough with a ripe banana.  And it’s a nice treat for them to have and I feel good because they are getting healthy fat for their brains and it keeps them fuller longer!!

Breakfast Burrito from The Pioneer Woman

These are so great.  You don’t even really need a recipe.  And the best part is, you can use what you have.  I usually load these up with eggs, veggies and cheese and I make them ahead of time and you can just pop them into the toaster oven and enjoy.

Breakfast Cookies 6 Ways from She Likes Food

We are partial to the chocolate & peanut butter ones, but hopefully I will be successful at trying them all this year!  These are freezer friends, so just get them out of the freezer when you wake up and they should be good to go on the way to school or you can put them in the oven and eat warm 🙂

Egg, Cheese & Hash Brown Waffles from Yellow Bliss Road

Only 1 of my kids will eat this, but they both think it’s awesome to make eggs in the waffle maker.  It’s also good if you are like me and need protein first thing in the morning!  I just add veggies instead.  It won’t be as firm, but it’s quick and the clean up is so easy!!

Granola Yogurt Fruit Tart from Jessica Gavin

These are lovely to look at and very yummy to eat.  You can make the “crust” ahead of time and save in the fridge or freezer.  If you plan to eat them within a day or two, you could leave them in an air-tight container in your pantry as well.  I love them!

Chocolate Veggie Muffins from Against All Grain

Danielle does it again.  Her secret to adding broccoli and other veggies, is baby food.  These are great snacks and perfect for lunches as well, as they are nut free!!
