Christmas Cookie Recipe Roundup
Holiday baking is a great way to get the kids in the kitchen and also show them that you do not have to buy gives, but the greatest gifts can be homemade!! The following recipes are some of my families favorite for Christmas and all year long!! Enjoy!
I’m thinking these will take almost like my childhood favorite scotcheroos!! Want these right now!! I mean, chocolate butterscotch ganache on top. Yes, PLEASE!!!
Koulourakia-Greek East Cookies by Brown Eyed Baker
These might be called Easter Cookies, but I like them all year long. They are perfect with a cup of coffee or tea and not overly sweet!
Having a good chocolate chip recipe in your arsenal is essential. As a former New Yorker, Levain Bakery cookies are pretty much a rite of passage when you are racing to an audition and need something to hold you over while you wait in line with 500 other people to sing, dance and showcase your talent!
I’m not sure if she really cracked the recipe code from Levain, but they are pretty damn close!! So make sure when you eat these to enjoy every single bite because they need to be savoured like good wine. They are THAT good!
If you are a chocolate lover, then these are the cookies for you. For the best quality cookie, make sure to use the best chocolate wafers and cocoa you can afford!!
Best Cut Out Sugar Cookie Recipes by Bake at 350
These are my favorite cut out sugar cookies. They are tender and have amazing flavor and are the perfect cookie to make with kids!! My kids love rolling out the dough and using a cookie cutter. But their favorite part is probably decorating them with buttercream and sprinkles 🙂 It’s one of our Christmas traditions and an activity that will keep them occupied for longer than 10 minutes!!
These are a pretty classic cookie and recipe. Sometimes I like to soak my raisins in some bourbon or whiskey for some added flavor and use pecans instead of walnuts!
My husband and I grew up in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and Sandtarts are a staple at Christmas time. They are fairly easy to make, but the proof is when you are rolling the dough. After these cookies are baked, you should be able to see through them a bit, you have to roll them thin! They are supposed to be very crispy, hold their shape from edges to center! So be careful when you are baking them not to over bake! (PS–I love mine with nuts, but sprinkles are perfect too! Or perhaps both!)
