Your Next Great Cut & Color is at Dahlia Salon at Pinecrest
You all know by now that I truly suck taking time for me. Back in December, I had lofty goals for this year. One of them was taking better care of myself, all around, not just health, but mentally and spiritually as well. All was going great in January and February of this year!! I was working out, eating healthy, traveling, pampering myself, making sure my husband and I had time alone, and making time for meaningful friendships. And then BAM!! Quarantine, COVID, and virtual learning hit me like a ton of bricks!! All was stopped and all my focus and energy went into making life as fun and normal as possible for the kids!!
Slowly, as life has been getting back to normal, I’ve felt more comfortable going out and getting back to taking care of myself. So when Master-Stylist and Owner of Dahlia Salon, Cori Carmosino, invited me to her studio for a hair cut, who was I to say No?
Her salon is located in JBellezza Boutique, location in Pinecrest, right next door to our friends at The Woodhouse Day Spa 🙂 JBellezza, is an all-natural salon setting promoting a healthy way of life through safe color, natural ingredients, and quality products that are authentic. Which couldn’t have come at a better time, because I’m in the process of going 100% natural with my skin & hair care (and make-up).
JBellezza Boutique is a gorgeous space. I didn’t know much about it when I went in to meet with Cori, but I was so happy to learn that each stylist has their own space with a door. So it was just Cori and I in her studio with the door closed. In COVID times, that made me feel so incredibly safe! Not only that, but Cori and I wore masks (as is required) and she cleaned all surfaces when we moved from one area of her studio to the next!! Plus everything in JBellezza has been cleaned and coated with a special antibacterial cleaning solution that fights germs and viruses’ for months!
When I sat down to get my cut, Cori listened to what I had been experiencing with my hair for the last 8 or so months (hair falling out rapidly) and we discussed ways to increase my scalp and hair health. I have been coloring my hair since I was 12 or so, so we decided to hold off on coloring for a while and focus our efforts into re-building and strengthening my hair! Her organic and natural approach made me feel really confident and at ease. We discussed the different products they offer and what I could do to keep more hair on my head!!
Before Cori cut my hair, she listened (and I mean really listened) to what I wanted to be done, she made some suggestions and then got to work!! Cori pampered me the entire time and I loved trading Mom secrets with her and talking about our daughters!! I not only found an amazing salon, but I also feel like I made a friend that day as well!!
The finished product had me feeling amazing!! I also loved the all-natural shampoo/condition and styling products she used and their scents! Plus, none of it made my hair feel sticky, stiff, or greasy, as a lot tend to do! Since getting a cut, my hair feels healthier and I can see more baby hairs growing back!! I couldn’t be happier!!
