Children’s Winter Clothing Finds

Nov 28, 2018 | Products and Services

Well guys, we’ve had three official snows now, so I think we can safely say the cold weather is here.  If your kids grow as quickly as mine, you’re probably in the market for some new warmer weather clothing for them.  Who loves shopping for children’s winter clothing?  Normally, not me.  I am not a happy kids-clothing shopper, but this year I found a few brands that I absolutely fell in love with, and I didn’t have to go to a single store.  If you’re like me and enjoy shopping from behind your computer screen, here are are a few favorites to check out, and the reason I love them.  I wouldn’t complain if our children unwrapped a few items of clothing from these brands this Christmas, either.

I’ve been scrolling past Primary ads on Instagram and Facebook for about 2 years.  I mentally bookmarked it as something to maybe check out someday, but it wasn’t until I really needed plain pjs for my son (a Halloween costume experiment that went awry) that I genuinely checked out the site.  I’m not exaggerating when I say that the clothes are great.

Primary has a really straightforward business model – awesome, simple, affordable clothing for kids.  Everything they sell is either striped or solid, well-made, and simple in design.  The puffer coat and vest are legitimately awesome buys.  They’re cute, affordable, well-made, water-resistant, and easy to clean.   My guys wear these coats all. the. time. (see picture for evidence), and therefore we’ve laundered them no fewer than 4 times since October.  Every time they come out looking brand new.  I’m sold.

We’re also big fans of their pjs and socks in this house – they are both high-quailty and inexpensive, which is a rare combination.  Added bonus – their socks are all color-coded so you’ll never mix up the sizes in the wash (something we regularly do).  Whoever thought of that is seriously brilliant.  However, word of caution – these socks run HUGE so buy small if you are looking for them to fit your toddler.

If you want to check these things out for yourself, you can shop away at Primary, com with a 20% discount using the code AFF20PCT – happy dance!

If you haven’t discovered this brand yet, you’re truly missing out.  I absolutely love the kids’ clothing from Jojo Maman Bebe.  The quality is outstanding, the designs are adorable, and the PJs are just too cute.  I can’t tell you how happy I was to find this brand – after years of Carters and Cat & Jack clothing wearing out too quickly to even put into storage, Jojo Maman Bebe was a breath of fresh air.  My older son is incredibly picky about the strangest things and his current favorite thing to wear are his dinosaur wellies.  I was very tempted to buy their awesome color change dinosaur rain coat to go with them, and there’s a very good chance I will do that this January if we don’t find it under our tree on Christmas!

If the two pictures of my cute guys in their Christmas sweaters aren’t inspirational enough for you to check out this store, here are a few of my other favorites from this incredible children’s clothing line.  Even these were hard to pick – they have so many adorable things!

Finds for Moms, too!

Did you miss our earlier piece featuring our favorite fall finds for mom?  Never fear, we’ve re-linked it here and the fall finds (and some new ones) below!  Editor’s note – I’ve had my Gobi sweatshirt now for months, it’s worth the investment.  I bought their gloves for my mother-in-law (she’s a big tailgater) and she also gave rave reviews.  Three cheers for heated apparel – it really works!

Happy shopping!
