Homemade Hand Sanitizer

by | Mar 6, 2020 | Parenting

The Coronavirus has everyone on high alert these days, and with good reason!  Items that are helpful are flying off the shelves and there is even a shortage of bleach, soap and hand sanitizer in the U.S. because of this.   The cost of hand sanitizers on Amazon has skyrocketed (some as high as $400).  While I am not a doctor, nor do I play one on TV, if you want to have some hand sanitizer for those “just in case” moments when you can’t wash your hands or the bathroom is out of soap, I’ve got 3 recipes for you to try.  Just find the one that most aligns to your lifestyle!  If you can get to the bathroom and wash your hands, the CDC recommends that you wash them with soap for at least 20 seconds.  So sing Happy Birthday or your favorite song while you are lathering up and make sure to use best practices to keep you and your family healthy!

The WHO recipe is recommended to be the Cadillac recipe of choice.  If you are interested in learning more about this recipe, you can check out their 9 page instruction book for it.  If you don’t have time to read it, then you can follow our parred down version below:
