Hi! My name is Julie White, I am a local Clevelander born and raised and have been married since 2006. I have two kids, 3rd and 6th grade and a pup named Blue. I am a photographer and a commercial real estate agent, but these days, I am a teacher, a maid, a chef, a referee for my kids and a therapist. While these days have been crazy and scary, we’re trying to make the best of it.

We go to the park as many days as we can. Each time we go, we look for a new favorite climbing tree. We collect walking sticks and leave them out for others. We play in the river and come home covered in mud. That of course is only when it’s nice out, so we are hoping for more good weather!
.
.

Our typical day looks like this:

.
.

Wake up around 8 or so…. no alarms set anymore!
I make the kids breakfast, which usually is toast, fruit and my specialty – magic eggs (fried egg inside the toast)
We hang out and relax for a few hours in the morning and then…..
.
.
10:00 TV goes off and our day begins.
.
.
We start with a work out – we’ve tried circuits, yoga, kickboxing and running sprints down the street. My kids complain the whole time, but I just encourage (that’s a nicer word for what is usually happening) them to continue
.
.
After that we have a quick snack and head upstairs for school.
.
.
Each kid has a computer in their room. I station myself in the hall and basically go back and forth between their rooms until their next feeding time 😂
.
.
We have lunch around 11:30 – which is basically dinner because my kids don’t each sandwiches. I would love to hear what everyone does for lunch! We usually break for a while, if it’s nice we go outside.
,
,
Around 1 or so we head back to work. We usually wrap up around 2:30/3.
.
.
We all have alone time after that, whatever that means. Sometimes it means me hiding in my bathroom because alone time apparently doesn’t mean the same thing to my kiddos 😂
.
.
I start dinner around 4:45 and usually have a helper. We eat around 6, I do the dishes, we do showers and head back down to watch a movie. Or the Good Place, which we are watching as a family. PS – this apparently is not a family friendly show, but we didn’t really know that and now were all into it. So please forgive my kids if they become inappropriate comedians.
.
.

Amidst all the madness, I want to mention our silver linings, because we have many!

.
.
1. We get to spend so much more time together and as a result, we are getting closer
.
2. My kids have been fighting much less and actually play together
.
3. My kids are learning to cook and clean and help in ways around the house that actually help
.
4. I’m seeing a whole new side of my kids
.
5. We spend waaaaaaay more time at the park
.
6. Mother Earth is healing and it’s an amazing process to watch
.
7. We are HEALTHY!!!!!!!
.
8. My house is getting cleaned and organized
.
9. We are eating healthier since I am cooking EVERY SINGLE MEAL
.
10. People are joining together and helping one another
.
