Wild Mango at Legacy Village
Right before the holidays, my Mom squad and I headed out to lunch!! It’s a rare occurrence for us, as we usually go out at night. But since all of our kids are finally in school full time, this was the perfect time to reconnect and have some fun!! My fabulous foodie friend talked us off a ledge and suggested we try the new restaurant in Legacy Village, Wild Mango! We all happily agreed, because let’s face it, the hardest part of going out is figuring out where to go and she did the work for us!!
We all managed to find a time that worked for us and we headed out for a true “ladies who lunch” (you know the kind, no kids, no need for a babysitter, make-up and real pants and long talks and big belly laughs)!
When we entered the restaurant, we were warmly greeted by the staff!! Wild Mango spared no expense on the decor! It’s truly STUNNING!!! We were a little early for the regular lunch crowd, which was great because we had the room all to ourselves!! The wait staff was very attentive to us, as we slowly looked at our menu (we were too busy talking and laughing). But after a while, we finally were able to focus and choose our meals!! I was surprised how affordable their lunch menu is. And we each received a complimentary bowl of lobster bisque, which was delicious! Our entree’s were beautifully plated and equally as yummy!! Portions were generous, given the bowl of soup that comes with your meal!! Unfortunately, we didn’t have room for dessert, but we will next time!
The only flaw to our visit was the fact that they seated up right across from the area where the waitstaff hangs out. Given the fact that the restaurant was empty, I thought that was an odd decision. If you are wondering if this would be a kid friendly restaurant, I would say at lunch time, yes! I haven’t been for dinner to see the energy, but I think older kids would be just fine 🙂
We had a great time anyway and we all agreed that we wanted to go back!
Wild Mango Restaurant & Bar did not compensate me or request this review in any way. All opinions and pictures are my own!
Our dining room was gorgeous! The seats were very comfortable and we had a delightful meal surrounded by impeccable decor!
Our complimentary bowl of Lobster Bisque was creamy and rich!! It was a very nice surprise!
The outside of the crab cake was a bit dry, but the inside was full of crab meat and moist! I loved the tempura sweet potatoes and the plating was perfect!
A beautifully cooked steak and again, those sweet potatoes!!
Tender chicken with fried rice! So yummy and perfectly paired!
