What We Did This Week: September 2-7, 2019
It was a short week because of Labor Day and it seems like life just doesn’t want to slow down!! We have so much going on that when I do have time to myself, I feel guilty. But I know it’s super important to take care of me and that’s my school year theme this year!! So, I just have to keep reminding myself of that and it’s OK. Plus, I want to teach my son to be a little more independent. He’ll be an official “tween” in a few weeks and I think it’s time for him to start doing more for himself! Fingers crossed!
On Labor Day, we headed out to Gross Schechter Day School’s Rib Burnoff! It was so much fun!! The kids really had a blast and it was nice that they offered some “free” activities for the kids. I also loved that everything was pay by ticket, so you were fumbling around with your wallet at each tent! That was awesome!! We all had so much fun and we think we will make this a yearly family event!!
Once school started for the week, we continued with the kids extra-curricular actives and homework, parents back to school nights, dinner with out of state family, working out, and a sick kid! Oh, and we got 2 huge trees cut down in our back yard. Natures Beauty did a great job!! That was exciting, especially since our dog barked for 7 straight hours while the guys worked in the back yard! Don’t worry though, she’s been extra lazy these days, I’m sure all that barking wore her out!
Lately, I’ve been running on coffee. I NEVER drank it until about April of this year and now I need it to get through the day 🙁 And a special shout out to Erin Davison Photography for the coffee 🙂 Such a nice surprise and very needed! You ROCK!!!
Next up, my daughter started piano lessons and I’m so nostalgic! Having gone to college for music, I wish I could do it all over again and really take advantage of every single minute! It’s really nice that she shares my love of the arts! I’m so happy about that!
I started Commit 2 Fit at Burn Boot Camp in Beachwood this week! It was so much fun and I loved that the classes are packed!! It makes it a lot more fun! Looking forward to this week and kicking butt!!
Fall is in the air and that makes for some pretty perfect football games & practices!! I love this time of year!
This week, I still need to get laundry done. It never ends!
Tell us what you did this week or have planned for this coming week!! We’d love to include some readers adventures!!
