Last week, my family and I went downtown to Tower City to experience Kringle’s Inventionasium!!  It was our first experience and we were all very excited, especially my daughter!     It’s really fun and luxurious to see the world from a 5 year old’s perspective.  Everything is fun and beautiful and amazing!!  So to have experienced Kringle’s with her was truly magical!

Kringle’s Inventionasium is at Tower City.  Going downtown always seems so far away in my head, but it was a quick 15 minute drive from the Heights and we were able to get $6 parking (even with the Brown’s Game going on)!!  We arrived a bit early, so we took the opportunity to go into some of the shops and take pictures around the building.  They have it decorated beautifully and both kids enjoyed throwing money into the fountain, making wishes!!

While we were walking around, we came upon a talking tree, Bruce the Spruce to be exact.  The kids had a blast talking to him and he told them really funny jokes!!

Finally, it was our turn to enter the Inventionasium!!  We were all a bit excited because we had no idea what to expect.  First we took some Inventionasium passport photos!  Then we were able to enter!

Everyone at the Inventionasium is decked out in colorful outfits and they are all so much fun to watch and interact with!!  We had fun picking out our elf names and then we were able to put our thinking caps on and create a toy out of magnetic sand.  It was fun to play with and made the perfect toys we were hoping for.  The elf in the room told us to look for different words throughout the Inventionasium, as they will tell us the secret to Christmas!!

The entire adventure is well timed and you go through different rooms to experience the different, fun and hands on exhibits for you to do. When it was time to make our own toy creations, one of the elves helped us.  His name was Scoozi and he was so much fun.  He had us cracking up the entire time!   He even let me take a photo with him and was amazed by all of our technology.  Elves don’t need phones in the North Pole he said!  They have their own communication!!

I was really excited to see Mrs. Claus helping the children with their toys.  It was nice to see the other half of Santa get some attention!!

It was finally our turn to see the big guy.  I’m not sure who was more excited, my husband or Mia 🙂  Having already met him last month (did you know Santa has his own room at the Hilton Downtown that you can rent and stay in?  Find out more here), I felt like I was seeing an old friend!  But right before we went in to see him, some of the elves stole my phone and took some funny pictures!!! Thankfully, they took some of us as well (they did give the camera back)!

Seeing Santa was a magical experience for all of us.  He is so attentive and to get that one on one time with him with a photographer there to capture every moment is truly priceless!!  I highly recommend splurging for the deluxe or VIP package for this reason!  Also, at the deluxe or VIP level, you have the option of getting your time with Santa personalized.  So he will know all about your kids, like your elf on the shelf’s name, your children’s name, etc.

We had a blast at Kringle’s Inventionasium!!  It was the perfect place to go to get into the holiday spirit!  I’m sure Mia and Michael will remember this for the rest of their lives!  And don’t forget to find out the secret of Christmas!!  You will learn it as you go through the Inventionasium and see Santa!

Kringle’s Inventionasium is currently at Tower City.  For more information, check out their website here and make reservations before it’s too late!

Some tips to make your experience amazing:

  1.  Plan out the best way for your family to travel downtown.  We hoped to take the train, but we were running late, so we drove.  While we were able to find parking pretty easily, I would have had piece of mind if we prepaid for a parking spot!
  2. If you are going with a person who has special needs, make sure to book an off-peak time, so it’s not super crowded and you have room and time to get through everything.
  3. Buy your tickets now for the best selection!!
  4. Make sure your phone is charged because you will not want to miss a single moment!

Kringle’s Inventionasium provided my family with free tickets to this event.  Pictures, experience and opinions are 100% mine.
