Have a million people on your holiday shopping list but don’t know where to start? Below is a Cleveland East Side Gift Guide for some inspiration for every kind of person on your list. Happy shopping!

For the MUSICALLY INCLINED

Head on over to RS Boutique that just opened in the Van Aken district and get your hands on the build your own ukulele they have stocked up. Then, if you really want to go the extra mile, get them a gift certificate at the Fairmount School of Music so they can learn how to play it!

For the CAR ENTHUSIAST

Nathan’s Mobile Car Detailing has got you covered. This service actually comes to you, at home or at work, and they do the work right there. Super convenient. I would suggest calling them to pick out a gift card. The woman I spoke with last year to grab a gift card for my dad’s birthday was beyond helpful and truly went above and beyond for me, helping me to pick out the perfect thing I was looking for and giving me a deal on the pricing.

For the SWEET TOOTH

Malley’s chocolates is a classic here in Northeast Ohio. There’s a reason they’ve been around for more than 80 years. This is your one stop shop for stocking stuffer treats.

For the MOVIE BUFF

Got a friend who’s always talking in movie quotes? Then maybe buy them some time at the local theater. Cleveland Cinemas have theaters sprinkled around the area, including one in Shaker Square and Cedar Lee.

For the HOME COOK

Variety is the spice of life, so they say. And to have variety you gots to have a lot of spices. For the person who loves to tinker in the kitchen, go grab a gift basket from Penzey’s Spices or curate your own – they have so many goodies to choose from.

For the PLANT LADY

Gali’s Garden Center has a really great selection of house plant friends to choose from. Everything from large trees to succulents. This is one of my happy places and I just go to browse sometimes. The people that work there are very helpful and can help you pick the perfect plant.

For the PERSON WHO HAS EVERYTHING

The thing about living in this neck of the woods is that there are a lot of cool houses. And cool houses tend to have a lot of cool things in them. Enter – the estate sale. This could be the answer for the person who has everything. Find something vintage, unique, weird, one-of-a-kind. It’s basically a really fun treasure hunt. The best way to do this is to go to here and sign up for email updates so you get notified when sales are in your area. You can browse through photos to see if anything looks good and then make a plan for which ones to hit up.

For the TEXTILE COVETER

Rug shops can be intimidating for sure, so it’s best to start small. I found the most beautifully unique accent rug at Larchmere Oriental Rugs a little while back. And I wouldn’t be so mad if I found another one underneath my Christmas tree. It’s versatility as a rug or a wall hanging makes it a great gift – it is a piece of art after all.

For the KID AT HEART

The coming together of two institutions at Sweeties Big Fun at Pinecrest is pretty much a kids dream come true. Whether you’re looking for nostalgia or sweets or both, this is the place to find it.

For the MOM TO BE

I moved to Cleveland when I was seven months pregnant and was desperately trying to find a yoga studio. As luck would have it, not only was Abide Yoga a short drive away but it is also one of the only yoga studios I’ve ever come across that offers a weekly prenatal yoga class. Done and done.

For the HOME DECOR FANATIC

There’s nothing like browsing the decor section of Home Goods.  Maybe you find a sweet little picture frame to remember a sweet moment or a cute little carved soapstone elephant for someone who collects them. There is an eclectic mix here always, and it’s always changing. Also, it is my go to for holiday wrapping supplies on the cheap.

For the LITTLE DOLL IN YOUR LIFE

Double Rainbow just opened up shop in the Van Aken District and offers clothing and lifestyle fun for the little baby girl in your life. She will for sure be cooler than you with some duds from the collection here. And the shop name is just the best – don’t miss out!

For the SUPPORTER OF THE ARTS

Juma Gallery is the place to go if you’re looking for some local artist flair. They have a whole host of goodies to choose from, including ceramics, candles, clothing, jewelry, and more. The best part is that you can grab a pick me up coffee & pastry at their coffeeshop next door. Bonus points that you don’t have to walk outside to go between them.

For the BOOKWORM

Loganberry Books has a genre for everyone. Whether you’re looking for your kid or your uncle or your grandma, you’ll definitely find something here. They also have a pop up gift shop during the months of November & December called Otis’ Old Curiosity Shop. I’m not really sure what you’ll find there but I’m a little curious, aren’t you?

For the FINE JEWELRY LOVER

There’s nothing that quite says I love you like something sparkly. If this is your year to make a grand gesture or if you just go big all the time, stop into Antrobus Designs on Warrensville (in the same shopping center as Bialy’s) – they have a wonderful selection of beautiful things or they can even help you bring your unique vision to life.
