CESM on the Move: October 20-26 2019
We had a pretty down week. Football is finally over, so we found ourselves with some more time at night to catch up on some family dinner time and it allowed me to workout at Burn Boot Camp in Beachwood in the afternoon, so that was really nice! I’m still trying to figure out how to fit more workouts into my schedule! We rounded out the week with a ton of Halloween events, all involving more candy 🙂 I know some college kids who will appreciate it!
Anyway, here’s what we did this week!!
We played at Playground World for a birthday party!! This is always such a fun place to celebrate with friends and it’s nice because the kids are active, yet you don’t have to worry about it raining or having bad weather!! Plus, the kids all love it!!
We went trick or treating at John Carroll University! One of their dorms opens their doors to kids and hands out treats! We’ve always loved going there! It used to be multiple dorms and the kids would get more candy than on Halloween!! But they have scaled down and that’s great too!! I do, however, miss the women who posted their numbers on their dorm room doors who wanted to babysit!! That was so helpful! But, I digress!! We had a blast!
The following night, we checked out Coventry Road and went Trick or Treating! It was so much fun! The businesses always do fun things and it’s nice to see them all being community minded and wanting kids to have a safe and fun place to trick or treat!! They also have someone doing free face painting and that was so popular and fun for the kids!! Thanks Coventry Village!!
We ended the night at Tommy’s on Coventry!! It’s always a hit for adults and kids, so it was a no-brainer end to our evening!!
Yesterday, I headed out to Results Fitness! They were hosting a FREE Social Saturday workout for Halloween and it really kicked my butt! Every time I go to class there, I’m welcomed by everyone like I’ve been there for years!! Also, I was excited to get compliments that my push-ups have greatly improved, so that was a huge win for me!! I don’t think I’ve ever been able to do them in my life!! It was also fun to see everyone’s costume and the trainers are a blast too!!
My daughter and I spent the afternoon at Color Me Mine in Orange Village (Pinecrest) for the 1st Birthday Party!! We always have such a good time there. It’s the perfect place to spend time with her because there are no screens and we can focus on each other 100%. It’s also so relaxing and calm there! The studio is bright and clean and the staff is so friendly and helpful!! She wanted to paint a rainbow dog, so we can’t wait to get it back next week after they glaze and fire it!!
And Color Me Mine isn’t just for kids! It’s also a perfect place to catch up with friends!! The table next to us was nice enough to let me take their picture. It was really nice to see them having such a good time creating their piece and laughing and having a blast as well!!
I was eyeing these Christmas Trees at Color Me Mine!! They are flying off the shelves and they are taking pre-orders so they have enough for everyone!! But time is running out to get your hands on them!! These are classic! I remember my mom always had them out at Christmas and when they were downsizing we all fought over them. I didn’t win, so I should probably paint my own!! They come with all the electrical, lights and a star at the top!! It’s the perfect gift for someone who has everything because you can gift it to them early and take them to paint and have a great experience that will last a lifetime!
Lastly, we headed to my son’s school and we had a blast at their indoor trunk or treat!! Mia wanted to make me a wolf, so she did my makeup and I did her zombie cheerleader makeup! So much fun to see so many friends and catch up!
I’m hoping it’s not going to be cold and raining for Halloween!
After Halloween I’m planning a juice cleanse for a few days. Does anyone want to join me or have recommendations on a good one. I don’t want it to be about starving myself, but rather a recharge, as I haven’t been eating very well.
And, tell us what you did this week or have planned for this coming week!! We’d love to include some readers adventures!!
