These are great venues not too far from us that are so much fun for the adults and the kids!!
Glow at the Cleveland Botanical Gardens
Glow, the Botanical Garden’s winter spectacular and one of Cleveland’s most celebrated holiday traditions, will transport you to a world full of seasonal cheer. This year, the theme Holiday Hollows is all about homes and what home means to you! Beyond a simple dwelling, “home” is a comfortable space or warm feeling when your loved ones are near. From our cozy four wall abodes to animal habitats, celebrate home and hearth with us with hundreds of creative gingerbread houses, decorated trees, a children’s indoor winter wonderland play area, festive crafts, holiday shopping, a ride on the Garden Express train and more!
Holiday Lantern Tours at Hale Farm & Village
Step back in time and discover what the holidays were like years ago!
Visitors carrying lanterns can peek into glowing historic buildings to see how villagers would celebrate Christmas Eve in 1867.
The 90-minute tour features educators dressed in period clothes, reading letters and talking about hometown gossip in their village called Wheatfield. The Holiday Lantern Tours have been held here for more than 20 years.

Wild Winter Lights at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo
Check out over one million lights all around the zoo! With over a dozen interactive and diverse lights, this is sure to get you in the holiday spirit. Enjoy a light show and take pictures with Santa!
Holiday Circle Fest at Wade Oval
On Sunday, December 8th, Wade Oval becomes Cleveland’s Central Park with ice carving demonstrations, horse drawn carriage rides, live music, photos with Santa, The Rink at Wade Oval (from 1:00-7:00 p.m.), a Fire and Light show, and more!
Winterfest 2019 (Downtown)
Kick off the holiday season with a trip downtown!! On Saturday, November 30th, Downtown Cleveland will be transformed in a winter wonderland, complete with twinkling lights, festive holiday trees, horse-drawn carriage rides, hot cocoa and caroling.
Mr. Kingle’s Inventionasium
Step into Mr. Kingle’s toy workshop and discover the kooky elves as they prepare for the holiday season. Guests participate in the engineering design process as they venture through the laboratory and invent their own toy to show Mr. Kringle.
The show stopper is meeting Mr. Kringle himself (and he smells like cookies). My kids loved their time with him and my daughter can’t stop talking about it!! Make sure your phone is fully charged because you won’t want to miss a second of this@@
Mr. Kringle Suite at the Hilton Downtown
Mr. Kringle needs your help to take care of his home away from home when he is working! Take your holiday experience to the extreme with a stay in Mr. Kringle’s Suite at the Hilton Downtown!! Your kids will be on their best behavior once they see Santa’s coat hanging in the closet and the special note he leaves each family!!
Holidazzle Holiday Market at The Van Aken District
On Saturday, December 8th, The Van Aken District will be full of fun as they transform the District into a special holiday market, complete with food, shopping, drinks and live music!
Pinecrest Night of Lights and Ice Skating
Enjoy a one-of-a-kind choreographed holiday light show that strings together a combination of illuminations.
The expansive light show encompasses Pinecrest’s Central Park, located between Silverspot Cinema and Pinstripes. Come watch the magic of the season unfold before their eyes as thousands of lights throughout the park dance to the music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
While you are there, make sure to bring your skates (or your can rent them) and take a twirl on the ice! Presented by the Cleveland Monsters, the ice rink is located in Central Park and will be open daily (weather permitting) until January 5th!
Eton Chagrin Boulevard
Don’t miss this special event, going on until February 15th as Eton transforms their gardens into a winter wonderland with the help of beautiful artwork from Monarch Center for Autism’s talented students! You can bid on the artwork with all of the proceeds going back to Monarch Center for Autism.
Lake Metropark Farmpark
On November 29-December 1 and December 26 to 29th, your child can make a toy with Santa’s elves using drills, hammers, and nails. Make sure to bring your camera! Each toy is $2 and regular Farmpark admission applies. First come, first served basis, so get there early!
Scuba Claus at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium
Get to meet Scuba Claus and have the opportunity to ask him about scuba diving! Make sure to bring your list and take some pics!

Color Me Mine at Pinecrest
On November 29th and Nov 30th only, Check off some holiday gifts and a visit with Santa at Color Me Mine’s Paint with Santa parties!! Santa will be visiting the store to paint with you and take some holiday pictures. Your kids will never forget and while you are there, you can make some personalized gifts for everyone on your list!! Bethlehem Hills Christmas Light Park
Over 2 million lights on over a mile road set to music in your car. $20 per car M-W or $25 per car Th-Sun.
Candy Land has Gone Wild at Penitentiary Glen
Candy Land comes to life as a giant game board that takes you on a fun birding adventure through an enchanting display featuring a variety of colorful habitats. Scavenger hunts, a new craft and other activities are fun for the whole family! Snacks and nature-themed gifts are available for purchase.
Each Saturday enjoy an outdoor campfire with s’mores and animal chats. Each Sunday meet live animals and their keepers at the Kevin P. Clinton Wildlife Center.
